Advice designed to prevent expensive wrong turns

Why this matters

The difficult question is rarely, “Can we build it?”

It is whether your platform can responsibly deliver what you intend to sell, to whom, and under which rules.

Founders often arrive with impressive technical thinking but unresolved questions about the underlying service, professional responsibility, confidentiality, intellectual property or cross-border operations. Those questions become more expensive to address after a product is built, investors are approached or commercial commitments have been made.

We challenge assumptions early, and help turn ambition into a model that can be properly assessed, structured and implemented.

Experience that changes decisions

The conversations that change the direction of a business.

Our work with emerging legal-technology ventures has already led founders to rethink timing, access, operational controls and the scope of an initial launch.

Anonymised advisory example01

Before bringing more people into the idea.

The question we raised

A founder was ready to move forward with collaborators and wider commercial discussions. We identified ownership and contractual questions that needed proper attention before further disclosure or commitments.

The change in approach

The founder agreed to slow the process and take a more controlled approach to access and next steps while the underlying position was examined.

Anonymised advisory example02

From ambitious launch to controlled pilot.

The question we raised

A proposed technology-enabled legal-services operation had unresolved questions around supervision, confidentiality, responsibilities and how work would move through the system.

The change in approach

Following our review, the proposal was substantially revised, with a narrower intended launch, more formal operating controls and a pilot-first approach.

These examples have been deliberately generalised to protect confidentiality. They describe advisory work and reported changes in approach, not client endorsements, verified commercial results or guarantees of future outcomes.

See how we work

We ask the questions others may overlook.

Structure

Does the business model fit the relevant legal and professional boundaries?

Ownership

Who owns the work, the technology and the rights needed to operate?

Responsibility

Who supervises outputs, manages risk and answers when something goes wrong?

Before you begin

Frequently asked questions.

A good advisory relationship begins with clarity about both the opportunities and the boundaries.

Do I need to commit to all four stages?

No. Each stage is separately commissioned. We will discuss which assessment work is necessary before any later stage and confirm the scope and fee before you instruct us.

What if I already have a prototype or working product?

That is entirely appropriate. Our work can assess an existing proposition as well as an early-stage idea. We focus on the actual operating model, existing commitments and intended launch markets rather than assuming every founder is starting from scratch.

Why is implementation priced separately?

The blueprint establishes what should be done. Only after it is completed can we responsibly identify which documents, controls and practical measures you want us to prepare. Implementation starts at £1,495, with an individual fixed-fee quotation against the agreed deliverables.

Can I pay in US dollars or euros?

Yes. Fees are quoted in GBP, but payment in USD or EUR may be arranged. We calculate the equivalent amount using the Bank of England's published daily spot exchange rate for the most recent available working day at the time of invoicing, and confirm it in advance. Any applicable bank charges or currency-conversion fees remain your responsibility.

Can I use my own lawyers or technical team?

Yes. The blueprint is designed to be useful whether you implement it yourself, with existing advisers, with a development team or with Aubrey International. Where work requires authorised or jurisdiction-specific professional input, the appropriate route must be agreed separately.

Does this mean my platform will be compliant or approved?

No. Legal and regulatory requirements depend on the actual product, activities, jurisdictions and implementation. We identify issues and develop a plan to address them, but do not offer regulatory approval, certification or a guarantee of market success.

What happens during the free 15-minute call?

We establish what you are developing, where you intend to operate and whether our advisory programme is suitable. It is an introductory suitability discussion, not a free regulatory or feasibility assessment.
