1. The service
The Workplace Quick Check is a limited, fixed-fee written initial review of one workplace problem or connected sequence of events. It is intended to identify the principal issues, practical next steps, relevant evidence or information and any obvious timing concerns.
2. Territorial scope
The standard £39 Workplace Quick Check is available for workplace matters in England, Wales and Scotland. Northern Ireland matters are not accepted through the standard Quick Check form. If your matter relates to Northern Ireland, please contact quickcheck@aubreyinternational.com directly so that we can consider the enquiry separately.
3. Fee and acceptance
The standard fee is £39. Submitting the enquiry form does not itself confirm acceptance of an instruction and no payment is due until Aubrey International confirms that the enquiry is suitable and issues an invoice. Payment is currently by bank transfer.
4. Scope and fair use
The service is subject to the Workplace Quick Check Fair Use Policy. Drafting, representation, negotiation, substantial document review, detailed compensation calculations, extensive research and conduct of Tribunal or court proceedings are not ordinarily included unless separately agreed.
5. Employer identity
The Workplace Quick Check is designed to operate initially without identifying the employer. Clients are asked to refer to the organisation as “Employer” and redact information that directly identifies the employer from supporting documents where reasonably practicable. If further substantive work is requested, additional information may be required at that stage.
6. Turnaround
Aubrey International aims to answer most complete Quick Check enquiries within approximately 12 hours. Please allow up to two business days from receipt of cleared payment and the information reasonably required to undertake the review. Where further information is required, the time needed will depend in part on when that information is provided.
7. Urgent matters and deadlines
The £39 Workplace Quick Check is not an emergency or guaranteed same-day service. A stated meeting, hearing or legal deadline is not accepted or guaranteed unless Aubrey International expressly confirms it. Emergency Employment Reviews may be available from £149, subject to availability, separate scope and prior agreement.
Submitting an enquiry does not stop, extend or protect any workplace, tribunal or legal deadline.
8. Follow-up
Reasonable follow-up questions arising directly from the written response are included subject to fair use and should normally be raised within seven days. New issues, substantial new material, significant later developments, drafting and continuing advice may require separate agreement.
9. Commencement of the service
The Workplace Quick Check is a bespoke professional service prepared by reference to the information, documents and circumstances you provide.
By accepting these terms, paying the invoice and asking Aubrey International to proceed, you instruct Aubrey International to commence work as soon as reasonably practicable once the information required to undertake the review has been received. Your instruction constitutes an express request for performance of the service to begin without delay.
Where applicable, statutory cancellation rights may be affected once work has commenced or the service has been completed. If you cancel after work has begun, you may remain responsible for the reasonable value of work already undertaken. Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts any statutory right which cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Further work
Any recommendation for further assistance is optional. Aubrey International will not undertake additional chargeable work without first explaining and agreeing the scope and fee.
11. Other terms
These terms sit alongside the Aubrey International Privacy Notice, Fixed Fee Policy, Complaints Policy and general website terms.
